look up in a search engine, free song codes for myspace and check each website for the song your looking for, once you find it copy and paste the code in and section of your profile on the update area and save it and it will be on your page. You can change that setting in your Account Settings, but also check out http://www.projectplaylist.com/ where you can build a playlist of music. You can add up to 75 songs on one playlist then copy the code to your myspace profile. They have a much better selection of music you can find on myspace and if they do not have the music you want you can go to http://www.fileden.com/ sign up and upload your own music.
It depends on what setting your used for your layout. when you change your layout next time, get the advanced profile creator. If that doesn't work, then maybe you need to redo your profile.
You go to account settings and I can't remember right now but it's in there somewhere. Sorry I can't be of more help.
go to your home page. click on account settings under edit profile. then see where it says music settings and click on change settings across from it. then unclick where it says disable my player from automatically starting. then it should automatically start =D hope i helped

You really like this girl's song, go to freecodesource.com and on the left they have a thing that says generators. you eiter click that or codes. can't really remember. one of those links has a bar where you enter their myspace ID (their little # of their profile) and it shows you their song. pretty sweet huh? they may have got rid of it after numerous complaints from the victims. if they did, sorry to hear that, and i really hope this helps you. it's pretty fun to see someone complain when theyre like "wait i hid my song!"

I do tend to sort of agree with the first poster, a little bit. It is not retarded, but it is not necessarily the best approach.
The myspace music player is at this level:

and to address all major browsers you really need this:

There are 2 carriage returns after the player, and one above it. (I have no idea why they put 2 carriage returns after objects instead of the usual one).
But this causes some white space.
If you put a youtube video on your page, it is likely NOT in a div (unless you put it in one).
The easiest thing to do is to NOT put it in a div.
Then it is NOT effected by this code:

If the whitespace, caused by the carriage returns, bothers you, you may also want this:

I size the carriage return to make the space more static across browsers. Otherwise it takes up more space in IE than in FF. You can use a different size if you want, the idea is to control it, and then make the negative margin on the table above it, equal to exactly two carriage returns.
IF you have to put it in a div (such as you are doing a div overlay or something) then insure that each video (or other object) you put on your page, has its own class.
Otherwise, if they are different sizes, you may not be able to set them to different sizes, and still set your music player to size 0.

However, you do want to look at the size of the video you are trying to resize.
I have no idea why so many people use the numbers 320 and 240. This is NOT even the correct aspect ratio.
But these numbers persist. These are not the correct values for the myspace videos either. I am still wondering what the original source is, for these numbers. If anyone knows, please feel free to message me.
There are other ways to hide the player, which do not involve re-sizing. If you have a lot of objects, in divs, of various sizes, a different solution may work better for you.

If the page blasts music at me, and I can not turn it off, I tend to just leave the page, and not stick around very long. As a result I am much less likely to help the person fix their page.

I want to play Breaking Benjamin's song "Forget It" but the artist doesn't have that song available on Myspace. So I want to pull it from my computer and put it as the song that plays when people open my Myspace page.

i tried, and discovered you cant. but you can upload it into a musitian profile, and THEN add it to your profile.

The only way you could is make your own "band" and have that as a song you made. Im not sure of the legalness of this, they'll probabally just delete your "band" but, I wouldn't Its really up to you though.

I don't think Yahoo Music Engine can convert files, but Musicmatch can. Download the jukebox from http://www.musicmatch.com and install it. Once loaded, go to File-%26gt;Convert Files. There you'll be able to convert .WMAs to .MP3s.
you have to say what format the songs are now that you want to convert to .mp3?

Plain and simple. It won't work on internet and it won't work on Mozilla. My speakers are plugged in and I'm not trying to hide the song. And the song is on auto play. It even shows that it's playing but there is no sound. I've added the same song three times and nothing has changed. HELP!! If any questions just ask and I'll add the details! Thank you!

This site will "grab" any song you want %26amp; take the mp3 file directly away from the profile, giving it to you!
Just copy their user name. For example, www.myspace.com/skem9 means you'd copy "skem9", %26amp; paste the user name into the beige colored box on the home page of this site:

She has the song on her profile and it does not say who the artist is or the name of the song? Odd. Why don't you put the url in the search on myspace music. That might tell you who it is then.
I am having trouble finding just SONG codes anywhere...I don't want videos, and I don't want just what a certain artist's profile provides on their song list...I was hoping to find more song codes elsewhere? Where do I look for that? I tried googling and there seem to be only video codes out there.
There are two places that I use since I hate videos too. Radio Blog Club and imeem. I know there are others but I'm blanking out on what they are because I've only seen them once or twice.

I added a song from the Myspace list to my profile, which I had just opened two days ago, and today the song didn't play and the little icon said that the song was removed by artist.
Are they serious? Do they go around removing songs from Myspace profiles?? Even if the song was added FROM Myspace itself??
Or could it be that the person who put the song on Myspace deleted the song and then it automatically deleted mine since I got it from them??

The artist removed the song from their myspace. Thus, it no longer plays on your profile. Get a new one.

Its because someone will have opened a music page and not had permission for the artist to put it up. Your song won't be deleted if you got it from an official page. It all has to do with copy right

go to an uploading site like fileden.com free to register then you upload it and highlight then copy get the link to the song and use a background music link (if thats what you want to use on your myspace page). Highlight and copy and paste into your edit profile section and it should play. If you decide to use background music, it wont get stuck in the middle. Everytime I upload a song on my myspace profile the same thing happens. It'll play for a couple of minutes and then it will stop and go back to the beginning of the song. It never finishes the whole song...it just stops halfway and starts all over again? Why does it do that??
A lot of artists don't allow the entire song to play. Some do, but many don't. My friend had the same problem, and then we realized it had nothing to do with her profile or anything, just the songs we chose.
