There is a song on myspace that I really want on my ipod and its not available anywhere else. The download button is not disabled and alot of people have already downloaded it but when I click on download nothing happens. The artist even posted a bulletin telling people to download his song so I know it's possible.

I think you have to download it.
There are also certain graphics sites that already have the song and have gotten permission. You have to copy the HTML code which I believe is already shown.

Just go to http://www.projectplaylist.org and create an account, search for your song or songs, when you find them add it to your playlist, and then put the playlist in your myspace. That's the way I did it when myspace sucked and only allowed you to play one song per profile I don't know if its been updated since then though. And project playlist is free.

Please, those songs popping up become annoying, especially a song popping up as the page takes a really long time to load. It's hard to go and hit the stop button while it's loading. They should make it "click to play" as the default setting, until then, please don't choose one.

I personally like the Eric Lee Band. Lesser known band but "up and coming". Great music! Seems everyone likes it whether they like rock, alternative, easy listening, etc. It sort of fits each genre.

It has alot of stuff like layouts, make-your-own layout generator, banners, extended network, codes etc.so you can peruse through that.
How to add a song.
1. go to the music section which is on the top bar where they have the home, search etc. buttons.
2. on the keyword section type in the artist name.
3. then the list of artist come out and click on the desired artist and they have the songs in their music player which is uasually located on the top right.
4. And just click the add button under the song name and viola!!
On your myspace homepage - click on the music "tab". Enter a keyword in the box to the far right. This will help you find the song you are looking for.
Click on the profile of the band/singer. On that page there will be a playlist on the right (usually). Find your song and click add...then go from there.

Copy and Paste the URL from the File Hosting Site into the First Box, the Box Next To It is For The Song Title. Click Add MP3's. If You Want More then 10, Follow the above steps. If You are Done Click "I'm Done". You get a page asking you to sign in, Join the Site (it's free). Then It Gives You The Code You Need For Myspace.

The folks at myspace have really tampered with what can be played on your profile, you dont really have much of a choice but to play whats featured on their myspace music section.
You used to be able to go to www.ripway.com and upload a song on your pc, then paste the code on your profile to have it play, but that may not work anymore.

Any song by "Forever the Sickest Kids" would be Great! They just recently got signed, and I think they're great! They sound sort of like a cross between hellogoodbye and Panic! at the Disco. If you want something more popular just get something by Fall Out Boy. Everybody loves Fall Out Boy! Except the haters.

sounds like "deleted by artist" so get a new song.
Is there some stupid song playing instead? If this is the case this just happened to me. I fixed it by changing my password then I went to the edit profile page and I copied the "about me" section of the code. Then I erased it. When I went to view my profile the damn song was still playing. So I knew the code must be in another section of my profile. So I pasted the "about me" part of the code back (it was my background) and went on to the next part. Eventually I found where someone had put the song's code in the movies section...in the middle of code for a rock me photo slide thingy. I hope this helped. It could also be html embedded in a comment someone left.
